Melisa Wheatley

Melisa is more familiar with small business than most, holding the tape measure at a young age for her father, a carpenter, and now as an experienced business advisor for him and many other clients.

As a principal of Martel Wheatley, Melisa provides services to her clients including business valuations, structuring advice, budgeting, reviews of internal systems to ensure maximum efficiency, payroll obligations and general business management advice.

She can take complicated technical issues and translate them to useful, easy to understand terms. This means busy clients in trades, retail, professional and services get a no-nonsense interpretation of business issues facing them and appreciate her ability for de-mystifying financial jargon.

Melisa has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Charles Sturt University and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and affiliate of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ) with over 20 years accounting experience.

Melisa is an expert in accounting, taxation compliance, Self Managed Super Funds and online management systems. She recognises efficiencies in cloud based accounting and often consults with businesses to ensure their systems are as automated as practical.
